Tampa Bay Rays Betting Preview
The Rays played the Chicago White Sox over the weekend and things didn’t go very well. Tampa Bay lost all three of those games 9-4, 8-7 and 4-2 for a sweep. In the Monday opener versus the Brewers, the Rays eked out a 1-0 win after scoring a lone run in the first inning. Starting pitcher Ryan Pepiot put up 6.0 clean innings with two hits, no walks and seven strikeouts.
For the starting pitcher role on Tuesday, Tampa Bay is sending out Tyler Alexander. This year Alexander is 1-0 with a 4.74 ERA in five games (two starts). In his career Alexander has a 12-23 record with a 4.40 ERA in 125 games (45 starts).
Milwaukee Brewers Betting Preview
Over on the Brewers’ side, they took on the New York Yankees in their weekend set. Milwaukee managed a 7-6 win Friday but then lost the remaining two games 15-3 and 15-5. In their Monday game the Brewers posted just three hits in the defeat. Bryse Wilson managed 6.0 innings with one earned on four hits and two walks in the start.
It’ll be Freddy Peralta in the starting pitcher role for the Brewers on Tuesday. This year Peralta is 2-0 with a 3.18 ERA in five starts. He’s got 38 strikeouts in 28.1 innings. Peralta is 44-27 with a 3.80 career ERA in 151 games (102 starts).

Tampa Bay Rays vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction
I’ll probably stay with the Brewers here. Peralta does need a good bounce-back start, though. In his last outing versus the Pirates, Peralta struggled on five earned, five hits and five walks in 4.2 innings during a no-decision. In his two starts prior to that however, Peralta put up just one earned in 12.0 innings on nine hits and two walks.
On Monday in the opener, the Brewers had a pretty rough offensive day on just three hits. The good news is that the pitching came through with a strong effort, but it was wasted in the difficult loss. I like Milwaukee to even things up on Tuesday if all goes well, but it may be another close, low-scoring game.
